Grandma's Whole Wheat Skiffles

Richard's mom is famous for these waffles.
They would have sleep overs and have contests to see who could eat the most.
I think Richard always won.

4 egg whites
2 cup whole wheat flour*
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
2 cups milk
1/4 cup oil

Whip the four egg whites until stiff.
In a separate bowl mix together the remaining ingredients.
Gently fold in the egg whites until mixed well.
Pour onto a hot and greased waffle maker.
Makes 8-10 waffles.

Try with Coconut Syrup or Buttermilk Syrup.
These waffles freeze really well.
I always put the extras in the freezer and
then stick them in the toaster when I want to eat them again.

*Can easily use 1 cup whole wheat and 1 cup other grains too.
