VEGGIES!
So I started the morning with the recommended baked potato.
A little butter is allowed.
I also poured milk on mine so it wouldn't be so dry.
ha.
Which, by the way, I found another website describing this proccess.
GM Diet Works
Apparently Milk isn't ok until day 4... opps.
AND Avocados aren't ok either... opps again.
But there are some positive oppses also.
Honey, olive oil, vinaigrette, and spices are permissible.
So this day was actually a lot better than fruit day, which surprised me.
Baked butternut squash with zucchini, ginger and, caramelized onions for lunch.
Baked asparagus with cauliflower, garlic, olive oil, and honey for dinner.
Both were unbelievably good...
or I'm unbelievably hungry...
Because I couldn't get enough!
I didn't even snap a picture because I was so excited to eat.
However, I do have to admit... the food was great...
but I have been slightly irritable today.
Ok, I have been A LOT irritable today.
Tired, grumpy, unmotivated, ready to give in and have those amazing chocolate chip cookies that Jennie gave me her recipe for...
sigh...
This is why I asked Richard to play along.
He talked me through it, and I'm going to keep going.
Any motivation would be great though.
I have very little self control when it comes to food.
Which is why I need a detox in the first place.
So, How do you keep your mind off of food?
Tomorrow is fruit and veggie day.
So, I've got some killer smoothies in mind, now that honey is back on the menu...
And I've also looked up some great ideas for raw fruits and veggies that make me excited for Day 3.
I hope I can report success tomorrow.
Anybody else out there trying this too?
How are you doing with it?
